Last night I was watching one of those inane reality shows staining the airwaves like an endless plague. As much as I hate them, I do seem to have an addiction. Watching some of these shows, oddly enough, is a good way to scout for people with anomalies. In this show in particular, I couldn’t help but wonder about one of the female contestants – was she one of us?
Challenge after challenge, this girl couldn’t seem to lose. Even with the odds so heavily stacked against her it seemed impossible. One of her fellow contestants even remarked on the ‘magical’ way she kept winning. That’s a keyword that puts out a red flag for us in a heartbeat.
Luck is a rare talent among us, but I suspect that’s what this girl may have. Well, ‘luck’ is what we call it, but it’s way more complicated than that. Harlan could probably explain it in all his crazed scientific lingo, but he doesn’t approve of this little side project of mine and won’t participate. At least not yet.
Regardless, I think we’ll have to keep an eye on this one, just in case. Though I fear if she is one of us, she’s probably o’r chwith. She just seemed to gather too much enjoyment out of the distress and pain she caused the other contestants. Too bad, we could certainly use a bit of luck on our side right now.
